Special Abilities: Due to Chikami's extensive training in Kenjutsu, she has extraordinary strength, speed and stamina. She finds it easy to be in drawn out battles, and she can take a lot more hits than the average shinobi. She can make one-handed handseals through a lot of practise too. And she was born with a naturally large chakra pool.

Personal Skills: Chikami is known to be a very offensive and strong fighter that can continue a battle for many hours without getting tired. This is because of her vigorous training and large chakra reserves. She is also known to have a natural talent for anything musical. Her keen hearing is close to that of an Inuzaka's, and things have to be very quiet for her not to notice them.

Personality: Chikami mainly appears to be painfully shy, but instead she is mainly just analysing people around her. She will happily speak when spoken to, but she is also one of the people that will remain silent in an awkward situation. Her intelligence in a battle is to be admired, and she has an IQ touching on 200. Being a child prodigy, she is used to praise, and yet doesn't have an inflated ego because of it. She is a very modest person, often saying she isn't bad at something and yet being brilliant at it. She makes friendship bonds for life, rather than for the sake of it; which is often why she doesn't speak that much. Her face always mirrors how she is feeling, and she has a number of different 'faces' which portray these feelings.

She is often seen to be intimidating on first meetings because of the almost cold eye-contact she holds with a person. Her body language always reads that she is quietly confident; her shoulders back and her hands clasped together in front of her.

When somebody gets to know Chikami, they will realise she is one of the kindest people around. She will help anybody and everybody no matter what she is doing at that moment in time, and she will drop everything for a friend. She has faced the fact that she will one day die in combat, and therefore lays her life down on the line for any of her comrades. She has learnt through harsh experience that the only things one can count on are their friends and comrades, and therefore she is always willing to protect them.

Even though it may not seem like it, Chikami has a soft spot for drink. She often refuses to go out on the booze simply because she's a lightweight, but whenever she is persuaded to go out and drink she will revert to the mind-set like that of a small child. She whines, she giggles, she can't stand up straight, she will even cry and do stupid stunts to make those around her laugh. Despite this, she never seems to get a hang-over which puzzles all her friends.

She is extremely loyal and will do anything for those above her rank; such as the Hokage. She has great respect for authority, and even though she is of a high rank, she still listens to those higher up.

It has been only recently that she realised the younger generation is the way forward for a successful village. So, because of this, she gave up her high position of ANBU to become a Jounin sensei for the younger ones. She is an attentive teacher, and her methods of training are that of her old sensei's. She believes greatly in team work, and she will refuse to teach a team of Genin who do not believe the same. Because of this, she is viewed at first as a very harsh sensei, but after her students pass their first test, she is definitely not a harsh sensei; but a caring one instead.

Appearance:

Chikami is a very pretty and feeble-looking woman with slender limbs and little to no appearance of muscle at all. Never judge a book by its cover. She is extremely strong, quick and full of stamina; something that was never to be expected from such a woman. She has cropped, slightly messy white/ silver hair with brown eyes. Her skin complexion is always smooth, and there is never a blemish in sight. The outfit she often wears around the village when on duty is; a long sleeved net shirt over which she wears a white tank top with red spiral details around the neckline, a pair of black shorts that barely reach her mid-thigh to show off her slender legs, supportive black sandals with the toes cut away complete with black arm and shin guards. Crossing over her goodly sized chest is a thick black strap with white kanji on it which reads; Scorching Solid Shock (固体ショックを焦がして). Contained in the strap is a large, sturdy broadsword which is nearly as tall as Chikamai herself. It weighs about 200 lbs, and whenever anybody else with average strength attempts to pick it up, they either greatly struggle to do so or fail completely.

Character History:

~In the Beginning~
Chikamai was born into quite the famed family. Her parents were known across the Shinobi world to be some of the best Kenjutsu users there was. So Chikami was destined to learn the art of blades from a very young age. Her mother was a loving woman who spent nearly all her time looking after Chikami, making sure that she got the best start to life possible. Her father was a loving parent too, but he had to be out working quite a lot on difficult missions. Sometimes he didn't come back for days on end, but both Chikami and her mother knew he would come home. Whenever he was home, he told Chikami tales about his younger life. The young girl was fascinated by all the stories and wanted to be just like her father and mother when she grew up; even from the young age of three.

She made friends with all the neighborhood children and went out all the time to the park when she was old enough to do so, at around the age of five. When her father's missions away started to get less and less, he decided to dedicate his time to teaching his daughter Kenjutsu. So he had her practising day in and day out from the age of six. Chikami didn't mind, and she loved the training because she knew that one day she would surpass her parents to become an amazing Kenjutsu user.


~Child Prodigy; the short Academy Days~
After a few months of vigorous training, Chikami's parents decided to enroll their daughter into the Academy so she could become trained in the Shinobi Arts as well as Kenjutsu. She joined earlier than most at six years old, and worked extremely hard in all subjects. She excelled in everything, and made many children jealous because of her natural talent. To even her sensei's surprise, Chikami graduated at the first exam when she was eight years old. Her mother and father felt so proud to have a prodigy as a child, and it was obvious that Chikami was to be destined for great things from this moment onwards.

~Genin Life; A Crushing Realisation~
Chikami was placed onto a team with two other boys who were older than her that also just graduated; but at the age of 12 instead. Her Jounin sensei was impressed with Chikami's obvious skill. She picked up on things much quicker than the other two, and she was able to learn things easier. Her large chakra pool allowed her to use more jutsu than the other two, and it was quite obvious that she was the best one on the team. At this time, she had a sword that her father had made for her that she named Kouki which meant 'Hope'. The sword was only a simple kanata, but Chikami cherished it to the point where she always had it with her.

After their team had been on a few missions together, their Jounin sensei put them in for the Chuunin exams as he believed they would all pass. Unfortunately, the exams went drastically wrong. Chikami was a very good kunoichi, but she wasn't used to team work. In the Forest of Death exam, she left one of her team mates for only a second and he was killed by the blast she had avoided. Chikami felt terrible and dropped out of the exam completely, refusing to take part after allowing such a terrible thing to happen. Her and her other team mate mourned the death of their best friend, and instead of backing down anymore, Chikami decided to take a new outlook on things.

She went for the exams again with her old team mate, and her new one. This time, they all worked together as a team, and they passed to become Chuunin. Chikami was only 10 years old at the time which seemed an incredible feat for somebody of her age.

~Chuunin Life; Personal Training~
As a Chuunin, Chikami decided to leave her team for a while to go and train with her father in the secluded lands around Kusanone no Kuni. She was determined to get stronger so she could protect her team mates better, even though she was skilled enough already. She left with her father where she under-went vigorous training that might have caused any normal person to faint from fatigue. Every day she ran for miles, balanced on one foot atop the highest and smallest mountains, chopped her way through almost a forest full of trees and had element training at the same time. Chikami's father knew that his daughter could handle such training as it was very similar to his own when he was younger.

Days turned into weeks, and then weeks turned into months. Chikami's skill level had risen so much in such a short time that even her father couldn't believe it. They went travelling around the world to different nations and villages to see all the different places and sights the world had to offer; and it was a nice break for Chikami.

She returned to Uekigakure 2 years later, at 12 years old. She met up with her sensei and team mates, and showed them her immense progress in the time she had been away training. They were impressed to say the least; almost blown away. It almost wasn't the same Chikami they were seeing. To celebrate Chikami's training success, her father got a new sword made for her. This sword was a lot bigger and heavier, but despite this, Chikami could still carry it easily because of her training. There became a long-running joke that Chikami would be easier to pick up than the sword itself.

As a maturer Chuunin, Chikami went on higher ranking missions with her team mates and sensei on a daily basis. She was barely ever home; and this started to worry her mother especially. Despite this, Chikami would come back safe and sound every time. She'd only be covered in dirt and minor scratches, and seem full of energy and pride as per usual.

The village started to notice Chikami's immense talent, and therefore she was offered to take part in the Jounin mission to see if she could become a Jounin. By this time, she was only 14.

The Jounin mission was long and gruelling. Chikami was assigned the task of hunting down and killing a B-Ranked Missing Nin from Uekigakure along with her team mates. This was where her team work skills came into play. The three of them fought long and hard, finally killing the Missing Nin and bringing his body back to the village to present the Kage with as their proof for completing their mission. After the body was analised and it was decided it was the body of the Missing Nin and not a fake, the three of them were granted the rank of Jounin.

~Jounin Life; Tough Times~
As a Jounin of the village, Chikami was one of the most powerful and respected with the villagers because of her skill as a kunoichi. Her parents were unbelievably proud of her for becoming a very talented shinobi at such a young age. She was sent on many high-ranking missions with her old team mates most of the time, due to their team work being regarded as great. They often went onto solo missions, however, and were asked to lead teams of Genin or a few Chuunin on the more difficult missions

It was on their last mission together before they parted ways. One of Chikami's team mates were planning to travel the world and probably no return, and the other was heading over to his family in Chirigakure. The mission was a very difficult one, but the Kage had complete faith in all three of them. So, they set off to start it. Uekigakure was currently at a mini war with Okagakure, and therefore needed all the military power it could find due to how advanced Okagakure were. Chikami and her two friends were renowned to be some of the best offensive fighters, and therefore were needed to break through Okagakure's main border with their explosive attacks. There was a high chance of mortality; but all three of them had high hopes. They reached Okagakure after a week of travelling, fighting off all the enemy shinobi on the way. They joined up with the offensive force and formed a battle strategy that was formed by Chikami. She predicted that with a distraction round the other side on the weaker side of the village would focus their attention on that side; and not on their current one. Chikami's team mates were both part of the distraction team, and headed off to complete their task. Chikami's team waited anxiously for word from the distraction team, only to be met with static interference through the radio. Chikami ignored her comrades and went to see what had happened. Okagakure had been ready for their plan, and had unfortunately got a whole platoon of strong shinobi facing off against the distraction squad.

Because of how small the distraction squad was, they were being slaughtered. Chikami aided as best she could, wiping out many of Okagakure's platoon just to get to where she hoped her friends would be fighting. She found them both dead in the midst of the fight. When the Kage warned them about the high mortality rate of this mission; he had been serious alright.

Chikami called for back-up and they defeated the Okagakure platoon, but before they could call for reinforcements, they all fled; carrying the bodies of the wounded and dead. Chikami carried her two dead friends over each shoulder, and it felt as if her whole heart had been shattered. At the age of 17 her two best friends had been killed in a fight she could have planned better.

She reached Uekigakure much quicker than she usually would have done; making it there in 4 days. After walking through the gates, she collapsed with sheer exhaustion from running so fast over a period of four days. Not only that, she had used a hell of a lot of energy and chakra fighting the Okagakure forces. She was given emergency medical attention, and left bed-bound for a month because of the heavy strain she had placed on her body. When she was finally discharged, covered in bandages she went to the graveyard to see where her friends were burried. She had missed their funeral due to being in a mild coma from exhaustion, and felt terrible about it. She placed flowers on both their graves and from then on promised herself that she would not allow any more comrades to die. She'd rather die than see her friends dead again.

When Chikami had fully recovered, she was offered the position of ANBU that she accepted reluctantly. She didn't want to let her village down, even though she was still grieving the loss of her closest friends.

~ANBU Arc; Recovery of the Heart~
While in the ANBU, Chikami was able to hide her emotions and therefore face them much better in the long run. She found it easier to deal with the death of her two friends (named Shin and Daichi) because she had moved on, and she knew that they both would want her to carry on as she had done before; bettering herself as much as possible. During her time serving as an ANBU member, she went under the codename of Kurai Aiko (Dark Love Child), and even to this day she is still sometimes called this.

She went on numerous tough missions with the ANBU around her, and all her skills were elite even in this force of ninja. Since she was an ANBU member, and the missiosn she was asked to do only rarely came around, she started to spend some time taking up hobbies. She moved out of her parents house (since she was 18 years old) and went to live in an appartment on the ground floor; giving her access to the garden. In the summer months she would lay out at night and watch the stars, finding three stars and naming them after her lost comrades; Itsumi, Shin and Daichi. She started to spot constellations and made a hobby out of star gazing, purchasing a telescope and everything just to persue a calming activity that made her feel at ease.

She got to a certain point at the age of 23, after a long service with the ANBU, that she decided she would ask to become a Jounin instead. The Kage couldn't understand why someone with such talent would want to down-grade themselves, but Chikami's reasoning was simple. She wanted to train the younger generation so they could protect the village when they were older. None the less, the Kage granted Chikami's request, and she was put in charge of a Genin squad under her real name.

~Jounin Life Again; Tough Teaching~
Chikami had refused to teach every team she recieved from then onwards. After three years, she still hadn't found a team that knew about team work. They were all seperate, over-confident egos, and she didn't want to teach those who would not learn. A lot of complaints were recieved about this, and the Kage was tempted to make Chikami an ANBU member again. That way, she would be working behind the scenes and not need to teach anybody anything. Chikami was stubborn though; amd refused to be promoted. She was determined to find a team that she would guide to become strong; a team that would know the importance of team work. After all, a shinobi wasn't a shinobi without others around him to be grouped with.
